Bio:

The Undecided Majors are a Pop-Punk Alternative band from the Destin, FL area. Influences include such bands as All Time Low, New Found Glory, Blink-182, Third Eye Blind, Lit, All-American Rejects, and more! The Undecided Majors sound, instrumentally, is Blink-182 meets Foo Fighters, and vocals/lyrics are like All American Rejects meet Third Eye Blind. Every song has a phenomenal sound, whether it be guitar tones/effects or bass riffs that bring the song together, The Undecided Majors have got a new sound!

Developed in Destin, FL, childhood friends, Scott McCauley, Robby Walton, and Jake Fenton formed a band in 2009 that called themselves “Line 45”. Scott McCauley was rhythm guitar/vocals, Robby Walton was lead guitar/backing vocals, and Jake Fenton was at the drums. Being a band and having trouble finding a committed bassist at that time brought Scott McCauley to the conclusion to play bass and give up rhythm guitar in the band.

The band formerly known as “Line 45” had a missing piece in their sound, and decided Robby Walton would sing leads on songs and do a switch off with vocals, which ended up being the key to their unique sound that you see today. In April of 2009, “Line 45” opened up for Jet Black Stare, a Canadian band at The Swamp Night Club at just only 16 years of age. They performed small shows in the Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach area from 2009-2011. In 2011 the band released their first 7 song EP called, “Private Road”. The energy of the album was filled with catchy openers from guitar riffs and synthesizer leads, opening into different creative genres as the album progressed. The hits on the album were “I’m Over You”, “Lowdown Jerk”, and “Private Road”. The hit songs on the album were heard by a few management companies and we were asked to perform in Dallas, Texas at the Dallas Music Fest shortly after. Following the Dallas Music Festival, the band graduated high school and started college. It was because of this, Line 45 decided to split up on a hiatus and pursue separate projects individually.

On May 2012, the band decided to come back together, but wanted a fresh start, a different approach, one that people can relate to through life, under a new name that described them as a whole; The Undecided Majors. The new name and the time apart brought new life and energy not only to the band as individuals, but to their music as well. This new energy enabled the band to reach out to a bigger audience and led to a chance encounter music producer Malcolm Springer, who is helping the band on future EP. As The Undecided Majors, band mates consist of Bass/lead vocals, Scott McCauley; Lead Guitar/backing vocals, Orilious Gaither Banks III; Rhythm Guitar, Jonathan Pharr; Drums/percussion, Jake Fenton. At their prime, they will do whatever it takes to make this their life and spread their message!

In September of 2012, the band has performed in Deluna Fest and has shared the stage with The Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Florence+ The Machine, Zac Brown Band, Jimmy Cliff, The Joy Formidable and many more.

The band released their EP “Redemption Rule” in March of 2013. The EP contains popular songs such as “Nightlife”, “No One Else”, and “Sister Season”. All songs were featured on 102.1 The Edge out of Dallas, TX; local radio stations; and many online radio stations like AOLMradio. The band has done many interviews from around the world, been featured in online magazines, and are currently being looked at by labels. This band is one you do not want to miss out on!
